Don died peacefully in Sunderland Royal Hospital on 30th August 2026 aged 87 years. Don a loving husband of the late Lily and a devoted brother of George and the late Jean, dearest brother-in-law of Annette and uncle of Rosie, Lisa and his many nieces and nephews.
Would friends please meet at Holy Trinity Church, Washington Village on Tuesday 29th September at 12.15pm. Followed by interment at Washington Cemetery at 1.00pm.
Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to The Cosy Cafe, a locally run cafe attached to Woodridge Gardens, Brady Square for which a donation box will be provided at Church. Everyone welcome afterwards to the Gardeners Club, Concord, Washington to continue to share memories of Don.
