ThomasYATESOn Wednesday, May 26, Tom peacefully passed away, aged 83. Devoted husband to Yvonne, dearly loved dad to Jane, Julie, Mandy, Theresa and the late Belinda, cherished grandad and great grandad, loving brother to Pat, Pauline, Pam and the late Arthur, also a dear friend to many. Tom spent most of his working life as a farmer. This was a job that he loved, and his work took him to numerous different locations. Holidays were always looked forward to - being in the UK when his children were growing up - and venturing abroad in later years with his loving wife Yvonne. Tom was a loyal family man with an outstanding work ethic, he was practical and had a great sense of humour. Tom will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. A private funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Monday, June 7 at 1.40pm. Flowers are welcome at our chapel of rest in memory of Tom. Donations are kindly being received on behalf of NSPCC c/o champfunerals.com/ obituaries where you can also leave a message for Tom’s family.
