MauriceWOODCOCKPeacefully at his home on Saturday, March 19, Maurice, aged 75, of Clayton-le-Moors. The much loved dad of Dave and Dawn, dear father-in-law of Lianne and Jérõme and respected brother of Melvin. Following his school years, Maurice began his working life as a poultry farmer before embarking on a career spanning over 40 years as a delivery driver for Norths Cleaners. He was always a hard worker and gave his all to his work. In his spare time, Maurice loved to spend time at his allotment, where he would happily potter about for hours on end taking care of his beloved bantams, ducks and geese. He was a master grower of cacti and over the years has tended to some amazing plants. Maurice always looked forward to his trips to Cornwall to visit his daughter and son-in-law. He was a man who was content in his own company and never needed to be surrounded by people. Maurice’s funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 5, at 10.30am at the graveside at St Paul’s burial ground, Hoddlesden led by Rev’d Toby R Webber.
