Devoted wife of Philip Windrum, treasured aunt to her niece Judy, and 'Granny' to Jamie and Eddie. Avril was known and loved by her many friends, relatives, colleagues and former pupils at Glenalmond school, she was a force of nature; funny, wise, active, energetic, and an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
No flowers please.
A private celebration of Avril's life will be held in November, as were her wishes.
