Dewi ReesWILLIAMSWith great sadness, we announce the death of Dewi Rees Williams of Glan Conwy.

He died peacefully in Australia on Monday 9th February aged 77 years, his last days spent surrounded by his beloved girls: wife Peggy, daughters Lisa and Sarah, and granddaughters Carys and Siân.

He was a devoted uncle and great uncle to his late sister's family in the U.S.

Dewi was cherished by family and friends for his giant spirit, exceptional generosity, relentless teasing and occasional outrageousness.

Those who knew him will agree it's not an overstatement to call him a legend.

A funeral ceremony and cremation will take place on Monday 16th February 2026 at Innes Gardens Memorial Park, Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia.

In the spring a Celebration of Life service will be held for Dewi in Glan Conwy.

Have know Dewi and Peggy for years. Dewi was such a lovely man, always laughing and joking with his cheeky grin. Will never forget him. Always there for us when we went out, ferrying everyone to and from the venues. Will miss your infectious laugh Dewi, love u loads love from Linda and John xxxxxx

We’ve certainly been with you in thought and spirit today, Peggy, Lisa and Sarah if not in person. Such great memories of a remarkable man that I was lucky enough to call my cousin. Many of the tributes here are testament to the way he touched so many lives. Certainly a life well lived, always kind, generous, supportive, a terrible tease, infectious laugh and an enormous capacity to care for others. A heart that lasted longer than most because it was bigger than most!

Yes Dewi was a legend !
I never met anyone like him, certainly not anyone else’s dad was like Lisa and Sarah’s! Yes he could be outrageously cheeky - constantly embarrassing us as teenagers but we always knew he loved us being around, loved us being Lisa’s friends. Cherished memories of all those fun, noisy, chaotic, happy moments with the Rees-Williams family 🙏
Much love
