John JamesWILBRAHAMJohn James (JJ) Wilbraham passed away in the loving care of the Royal Care Home, Doncaster, on 21st December 2025. He could not have been better cared for and we made many dear friends among the wonderful dedicated people at the Home.

John was the much loved husband of Adele and elder brother of Clive, born and bred in Stoke on Trent. He will be sadly missed by us all but please be happy that he is finally at peace after over two years in care suffering the cruelties of vascular dementia.

His cremation will take place at Rose Hill Crematorium in Doncaster on 8th January 2026 at 9am. Realising that Doncaster is a long distance to travel from Staffordshire, there will be a memorial in Stoke on Trent at a later date to honour John's memory, so please join us there.

No flowers by request; any cash donations will be for the benefit of the Residents' Fund of the Royal Care Home and can be sent to Adele for the Home.

Further details from Natalie at Cooperative Funeral Care, Rossington, Doncaster
Tel : 01302 867902
Email : rossington@letsco-operate.com

The memorial party is not yet arranged but will be held in Stoke on Trent so that all our friends can meet to celebrate his life and share our happy memories without having to travel 160 miles.

I would like to thank all the dear friends who came to John's memorial party yesterday. You made it a joy to remember instead of a sad farewell; the love and affection in that room was something I will treasure for ever......and I know John would be honoured and amazed by it all.
I'm thrilled to tell you that the donations for the Residents' Fund of the Royal Care Home totalled £305 plus another £50 from a friend in Lanzarote, a wonderful £355 to support a very deserving cause. Bless you all and thank you for showing your love for our irreplaceable John James xxx

John was a kind and loving man who always held a special place in my heart. He would make me smile listening to him giggle as Andy would spin Adele around, every time we met.
We will raise a glass and remember the good times. Rest in Peace John. Love Louise, Andy, Poppy and Lily xxxx

Memorial Party in honour of John James Wilbraham.

John’s funeral and cremation takes place on 8th January 2026 in Doncaster but as he was a Son of Stoke, it seems only right to celebrate his life with a memorial party “back home” where hopefully all his friends can join together to celebrate his life and share happy memories, aided by a brief biography, a photo slideshow and John’s favourite music.
The party will be at the Borough Arms Hotel, 26 King Street, Newcastle, Staffs ST5 1HX in their Function Suite, from 12 noon to 3pm. A buffet will be served around 12.30pm.
We hope everyone will enjoy this party as a true celebration of John’s life and make it a happy, memorable occasion rather than a mournful formality. The suffering is over and our John is free.
Looking forward to seeing you all very soon.
Love
Adele xx
