Joan MaryWHITTAKERGRIEVE Joan, of Bredbury, Stockport sadly passed away 30 April 2020 age 87 years. Beloved mother of Keith, Raymond, Angie, Gary, Neil and Wendy. Cherished Nanna to Michael, Jason, Keith, Tina, Stella, Samantha, Sophie, Becca, Charlotte, Melissa and Nigel. Dearly loved sister and friend. Born in Manchester in 1932 Joan worked at Kellogg's in Trafford park, where during the second world war she produced parts for the war effort, she moved to Bredbury, Stockport around 65 years ago, first living on Bents Lane then moving to Wild Street, finally settling in Bents Avenue Bredbury where she lived for the last 40+ years. She spent her twilight years enjoying the company of her children and grandchildren as well as tending to her garden and enjoying the companionship of her many pets along the way (Lassie, Benji, Scamp and finally Robbie). In lieu of flowers please pass donations to the RSPCA in Joan's memory.
