Valerie MargaretWHITE (VAL)Suddenly at her home on 16th August 2019, Val aged 66 years of Great Harwood. The devoted and loving wife of the late Peter, a dear sister, much loved auntie and good friend. Val was a cashier at Nat West Bank in Accrington and took early retirement. An avid cricket fan, Val was a member of Rishton Cricket Club. She was also a keen gardener always keeping her garden immaculate and blooming with an array of colour and she enjoyed listening to the radio which would be playing from morning til night. Devoted to her late husband Peter, Val supported him in his role of Sports Journalist for Blackburn Rovers. She was a strong-minded, organised and independent lady who loved to travel both alone and with her family and Cyprus was her favourite holiday destination. Val is now re-united with her much loved husband Peter. Val's funeral service will be held on Tuesday 3rd September 2019 at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington BB5 6HA at 11.40am. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in memory of Val to Cancer Research UK via champfunerals.com/obituaries.
