IanWESTWELLOn Thursday, April 28, suddenly but peacefully at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, with family by his side, Ian, aged 77. Devoted husband to the late Irene, dearly loved father to Simon and Alex, cherished grandad to William, Nathan, Charles and Rachael, much loved father-in-law and a dear friend to many. Ian spent his working life in the Lancashire Constabulary as a Police Constable. He served 25 years in his role until he retired. His position in the police force was something he was extremely proud of and passionate about. Ian was a loving and devoted husband to his late wife Irene, and together they shared a passion for gardening and enjoyed holidays to their favourite places, Llandudno and Bridlington. Ian loved to play snooker and enjoyed a good catch up with lifelong friends. He cherished his grandchildren - as they did him - and loved to spend time with them. Ian will be remembered as a loyal and loving family man who never wanted to be late. Ian’s funeral service was held at Accrington Crematorium on Friday, May 13.
