MaudWALTONDied peacefully in Henley House, Accrington, on Wednesday, January 18, aged 92 years. Maud’s first job was at Baileys, Accrington as a trainee sewer. She then worked at Warburtons Mill as a sewer followed by Simon Jersey in Altham until her retirement. Her hobbies included flower arranging, watching cricket and caring for her dogs of which her favourite were poodles. She enjoyed holidays abroad and in the UK with her late husband Reg. Wife of the late Raymond, also a dear wife of the late Reg, beloved sister to the late Doreen, cousin to Shirley, Alec and the late Ivor. She leaves behind Susan and Stephen Ainsworth, Stephen Walton and partner Lyn Forster, Carol Walton, James and Michael Walton, Shaz, Jodie, Farrah and Ayla. A service will take place on Friday, February 3 at 10am in St Paul’s Church, Accrington. The cremation will take place at Accrington Crematorium at 11am. Family flowers only.
