James ChristopherWAINWRIGHTSadly, we announce the passing of James Wainwright known to all as Jamie, who passed away on Wednesday 26th August 2026, aged 28 years.
A much-loved son to Chris and Karen, a cherished brother to Ben and Matt, a devoted fiancé to Hannah, and a much-loved uncle to Summer.
Motocross was a huge part of Jamie's life, and he proudly rode for several well-known teams, competing on both KTM and Kawasaki bikes. His passion for the sport brought many happy memories, friendships and experiences that meant so much to him and his family. More recently Jamie found a new passion in running, leading him to co-set up JR Elevate Mind Body Adventure.
Jamie will be remembered for the life he lived, the memories he made and the many special moments shared with those who knew and loved him.
Jamie's funeral service will take place on
Wednesday 16th September 2026
Holy Trinity Church, Ashby-de-la-Zouch,
At 1pm.
Following the service, Jamie's burial will be attended by family only. Everyone else is warmly invited to make their way to Gopsall Hall Farm, Atherstone, CV9 3QJ for refreshments, where the family will join you all to continue sharing memories and celebrating his life together.
Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Jamie are welcomed, with further details to follow.
The family kindly ask that those attending to wear a touch of Cobalt Blue in honour of Jamie.
