Waino, never when we first met in school did I think we would spend our formative years hanging round together. The clever, football wizard lad lad I knew turned into an artist, a musician and a friend.

Going to festivals, turning up at parties uninvited or just chewing the fat in the praccy room it was never a dull day. There was no half measures with you, if you were in, we were all in.

I still remember the day I turned on Sky news and seen you slap bang in the middle of the student protests in your tent.

Even though, we hadn’t seen each other in a very long time when life got in the way, we can look back at that time with fondness.

Just the other week, we were laughing watching Mick Hucknall at the bbc. Simply Red La.

Thought are with family and friends at this awful time but I hope they can take small amount of solace with all these messages of how you were a massive part of peoples lives.

Rest Easy mate. KTF ✊

Truly saddened to hear this, Chris.

Although we hadn’t seen each other for years, my mind does often cast back to the times we spent together. You were unique, with a fire in your belly and that bloody black leather jacket that should have been thrown away much sooner than it was.

Only the other week, I remembered the time we were in town and we won a free meal at Nando’s, and about 30 seconds later found a full pack of ciggies on the floor. We felt on top of the world.

You were loud, brash, and cheeky. But you were you, and you never pretended to be anything else — that’s such a rarity these days.

I hope you find peace of mind and rest now.

My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy, Lawrence, Liam, and the wider family at this sad time.

Rest easy, mate.
