WendyTUNALEYPassed away peacefully with her loving sons James and Russell by her side on Sunday, September 17, aged 60. Wendy was the daughter of the late Jimmy and Eileen Hart, dearly loved sister of John, Russell and Denise, mother-in-law to Peter, sister-in-law of Kate, Debbi and Richard. Much adored nan of Evie and JJ. Loving niece of Colleen, much loved aunty of Ann-Marie, Angela, Simone, Tanya, Stephanie, Gavin and Jessica. Also a great-aunty to many and a truly great friend. Wendy was a lifelong Huncoater, who attended Huncoat Primary School before going to Hollins High School where she was very popular. On leaving school Wendy had various jobs over the years, Rist Wires, Senator, DT Packaging to name a few, where she made many friends along the way. But the job she loved the most was being the landlady at her local pub The Railway in Huncoat.
She ran this with her late ex-husband Glen, Wendy excelled in it and the punters loved her brilliant character. Wendy loved her sons unconditionally and was very protective of them, She was a devoted nan to her beautiful grandchildren, she loved them dearly. Wendy loved her holidays both here in the UK and abroad. Wendy was a fun, loving, caring person with a heart of gold, who got on so easily with everyone. Wendy would help anyone out if she could, nothing was ever too big or small for her.
Wendy will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Wendy’s funeral will take place on September 29 at Accrington Crematorium, the service beginning at 2.20pm.
