Patrick JohnTRACEY

With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Patrick Tracey on Sunday, 17 August 2025 following a short illness. Patrick was born in Derby on 20 November 1952 to Major A.F. Terry Tracey and Dorothy Tracey, the younger brother of Jane.

As a Chartered Surveyor and former Head of Residential Services at the University of Derby, Patrick left a legacy of first-class property development in his home city of Derby. In his later years, Patrick excelled as a talented and prolific photographer.

In his family life, Patrick was dearly loved by his family and wide circle of friends from around the world. Patrick leaves his son Shaun, daughter Laura, Granddaughter Lucy and Jane, his extended family and precious friends. May he Rest in Peace.

Patrick's funeral service will be held on Tuesday 2nd September 2025 at Markeaton Crematorium, Main Chapel at 11:00am.

A great friend and loving father and grandfather, it was a joy to have known Patrick for almost half a century and to have spent time with him as part of our Blokes on Tour walking group since 2001. RIP Patrick, you will be sorely missed. Richard & Diane Bracey.
