The obituary notice of David (Pops) TONGE

Such fond memories of this incredibly talented man. I saw him many years ago in a production of "The Pirates fo Penzance" where he played the lead with great aplomb and wonderful
singing voice. We enjoyed several get togethers over the years with Pearl and David. He was a great raconteur and entertained us with many stories of his expereinces through life. He will be greatly missed by many, our condolences go out to his family particularly Pearl who must feel a great void in her life. You were a true gentleman David, rest in peace. XX

We met when we were five. In December, by phone, we remembered singing and playing as teenagers in Leek.. Fond memories of a lifelong friend.
