The obituary notice of Ethel Selina TIPPING

I first met Ethel when her granddaughter graduated from college in New York, and remember noticing how vivacious she was and thinking that reflected well on her Grandchildren. Years later, as a great grandmother, she seemed more like a grandmother investing amazing amounts of energy in the kids around her. Ethel was a pilar of her family and a gathering point for many of us. I wish for her large extended and loving family to all remain close, because I know this would bring her joy. Ethel will live on in our memories and through the connections she forged between us. She will be dearly missed.

We met nearly 50 years ago, Ethel, when a couple of American footy coaches brought your son, and my most valued best mate, Jeff, together to embark on a life journey to college, here in the USA. That opportunity also brought me into the lives of you and your hubby, Bob. You were always most welcoming to me and made me feel a part of your family. RIP, Ethel.
