Dr. PhilTHOMASConsultant Cardiologist, Morriston Hospital Peacefully at home on 18th November 2019, Phil; beloved husband of Rosie, loving father to Imogen, dear son of Violet and the late Rex, cherished brother of Julie and a much loved uncle. Phil will be sadly missed by his close family, colleagues and friends. Funeral service at St Nicholas, Nicholaston, Gower on Monday 2nd December at 1.30pm followed by committal at Swansea Crematorium at 3.30pm. Family flowers only please, but donations in lieu if desired for 'Cardiac Centre, Morriston Hospital' may be sent to Cardiac Centre, Morriston Hospital, Heol Maes Eglwys, Morriston, Swansea SA6 6NL Further enquiries c/o William Pressdee Funeralcare Tel. 01792 366513.

My sincere apologies and condolences. I only heard this last Friday that Philip died such a long time ago. We were at Ysgol Rhiwabon together. I was one year ahead and went to Cardiff Medical School the year before Philip did.
Life is so precious and often so cruel.

It has been my privilege to work for Phil Thomas as his Medical Secretary for the last 23 years. Without his professionalism and enthusiasm we would not have such a thriving Cardiac Centre. He was greatly respected by all his colleagues and his patients still ask about him and say how grateful they are to him for the care they received. I am saddened he was not able to fulfil all his dreams when he retired with his lovely wife Rosie and their daughter Immy. I truely loved this gentle kind man and will miss him.

I worked with Phil for over 19 years and enjoyed every day working with him. He was always kind and considerate and always ready to offer a helping hand. He was an amazing Cardiologist who inspired so many. So tragic to be taken so young, my thoughts and love are with Rosie and Immy.
