MeirionTHOMASThomas (known as Meirion), born in Felindre, formerly of Garnswilt South Wales, passed away Wednesday September 5th 2001, after an illness courageously fought, but valiantly lost in the end.Meirion was a devoted and loyal husband and best friend to Freda, a cherished father to Heulwen, Delyth and Bethan, a best friend to John as well as a father-in-law to John and Kenneth, a much adored grandpa to Shaun, Scott, Ben, Jamie and the latest of the five grandsons, Baby Adam. He was also much loved and respected brother-in-law to Susan, Keith, Arfon and Lyn plus a loved uncle to Jonathon and Simon.Taken away too soonHis legacy will live on to EternityFuneral to take place at the Spondon Methodist Chapel at 1.30 on Thursday September 13th 2001 where all friends, neighbours and colleagues will be welcome. This will be followed by a brief cremation ceremony at Markeaton Crematorium at 2.15. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers to be forwarded to any member of the family. All donations will be sent to the Rainbows Children's Charity who fund a Hospice for Sick Children.
