It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Karen, aged 63, of Coxlodge, on 2 July 2026, following a short but courageous battle with metastatic cancer. Karen was a devoted and loving mother to Michael, and a proud, cherished Nana to Demi, Jasmine, and Michael Jnr. She was the heart of her family. A strong, fiercely independent woman whose unwavering love, kindness, and strength held everyone together through life's joys and challenges. Karen spent her life putting everyone else before herself. She gave so much of her time, love, and energy to those she cared about, always making sure everyone around her was happy, supported, and loved before thinking of her own needs. Her selflessness, compassion, and quiet strength were the foundation of her family, and her love will continue to be felt by those fortunate enough to have known her. Her warmth, resilience, and generous spirit touched the lives of so many. The memories she created, the lessons she taught, and the unconditional love she gave will be treasured forever. Although our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that her love will live on through the family she adored so deeply. Karen will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
In keeping with Karen's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Her family kindly asks that, instead, she is remembered in your own special way with a smile, a cherished memory, or an act of kindness in her honour, just as she so often showed kindness to others.
