Watching my Grandma go from someone who always took such pride in her appearance, with warmth in her heart and a loving, gentle soul, to seeing the frail shell of the woman she once was that dementia left behind, was heartbreaking.

The treasured memories of the woman I remember remain untouched by illness — baking in the kitchen with us, days out at the park, and shopping trips together. No matter what she was doing, she always made time for her grandchildren, and those moments will stay with us forever.

I hope you're at peace with Grandad now, Grandma.

Goodnight. 💓
