RosemarySPEDDINGPeacefully in hospital on Sunday, June 13, surrounded by her loving family, Rosemary, aged 83 years, of Accrington, passed away. She was the devoted wife of the late Brian, loving mum of Lesley and Mark, dear mother-in-law of Ian, loved auntie of Shirley and Diane and also a well respected relative and friend to many. Rosemary spent her working life as a civil servant in the pensions department at Melbourne Street, Accrington. With her keen eye for detail, Rosemary always excelled in her role and made many good friends along the way. At home Rosemary enjoyed completing her latest puzzles and could often be found pen poised ready to create her latest poem or write another one of her many stories. She was also an avid knitter and always looked forward to settling in front of the television to watch one of her old time films. Together with her family, Rosemary has travelled to many destinations, both in the UK and abroad, and has even made the long journey to Texas to visit her family. Rosemary will be sadly missed by all who knew her and fondly remembered, especially for her wicked sense of humour. The funeral service will be held at All Saints Church, Clayton-le-Moors on Wednesday, June 23 at 1.30pm, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations can be made on behalf of North West Air Ambulance c/o funeral director. Funeral director: Champ Funeral Services, Accrington.
