Passed away peacefully on 24 August 2026, with his devoted wife Lorraine by his side.

A much loved husband, father to Jayne and Jonathan, grandfather to Joseph, son in law to Allison and Barry, and brother in law to Denise and Neil.

He leaves behind memories filled with love, laughter, and the quiet strength that defined him.

Peter's funeral will be held on 11 September at Northumberland Woodland Burial and Crematorium at 10:00am, followed by a gathering at Westerhope Golf Club.

Family flowers only, however donations will be gratefully received at the crematorium in support of Marie Curie Hospice, Newcastle.

No mourning dress is necessary - please feel free to wear a splash of colour.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Peter’s passing.

Peter was my boss for many years, but he was much more than that. He was someone I had enormous respect for and a person who had a real influence on my life and career.

I’ll always remember his humour, his character and the many good times we shared over the years. He was one of those people you simply don’t forget.

My thoughts are with his family and all those close to him at this very sad time.

Rest in peace, Peter. It was a privilege to have known you. Ged Kennedy
