Riitta JohannaSMITHIt is with deep sorrow, the announcement of the death of Riitta on 9th May 2026, following a long period of illness. Beloved wife of Ronald for nearly 50 years, devoted mother to Sarah, Rachel and Kristina. Treasured grandmother to Alex and Sam. Born in Viitasaari, Finland, fluent in four languages, a somewhat expert in European ceramics and Scandinavian glass. A lengthy period of her marriage to Ronald was spent as the proprietors of Doonfoot Garage, Ayr from the 1970's until the early 2000's "I see myself now at the end of my journey - my toilsome days are ended" John Bunyan's Pilgrim's progress (1628-88)
Funeral service to be held at The Hurlet Crematorium on Tuesday 2nd June at 2pm.
