CharlesSMITHof The Close, Clayton-le-Moors, sadly passed away
on November 9, aged 93 years.
He was the much-loved husband of the late Joan, father to Elaine and father-in-law to the late Guy.
All through Charles’ life football played a major part from playing for Accrington Stanley in his youth
to watching Blackburn Rovers well into his 80s. Charles worked as an electrician for various companies during his career whilst helping Joan run their shop on Dill Hall Lane. They both enjoyed well earned holidays in Europe and America.
A service will be held on Friday, December 1 at 11am at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington, conducted by Neil Overton.
