JamesSMITHIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, dad, grandad and brother, James (Jim) Smith on Saturday, October 8th, 2022. Jim passed away peacefully at home, aged 75, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Over seven years, he never once complained, and always displayed incredible dignity, courage and humour right up until the very last day. The funeral service will be held at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium, 3:15pm on Tuesday, October 25th 2022. All are welcome to attend. In accordance with Jim's wishes, the family plan to celebrate his life through humour and music. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for Mary Ann Evans hospice in Nuneaton. Jim is survived by his wife Barbara, children, Kate and Chris Smith, son in law, Martin Wilkes, his brother Alan Smith, and his beloved grandchildren, Megan, Abigail, Alice, Ben and Olivia. Further enquiries to Tamworth Co-operative Funeral Service, The Mews, Upper Gungate, Tamworth, Staffs B79 7NZ. Tel: 01827 62094
