EdithSMITHNÉE TATTERSALL 8th June 1935 - 19th February 2021 Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home, aged 85. Much loved mother to Kathryn and David and grandmother to George and Alexandra. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 20 years after her "retirement" Edith continued to work in the intermediate care team at Macclesfield General Hospital, finally leaving just under a year ago and was still the booking secretary for Prestbury Village Hall. Due to current circumstances, a private funeral service will be held on 12th March at Prestbury Methodist Church. Family flowers only please but donations, if desired, to 'Macclesfield Bereavement Support Service' who Edith volunteered with for many years, and to 'ECHO Hospital and Community Healthcare Charity', the official charity of East Cheshire NHS Trust who looked after her so well.
