MaureenSHAWSuddenly, but peacefully at rest on 4th April 2026, whilst in the loving care of her family at the RSUH, Maureen, of Packmoor, aged 84 years. Dearly beloved wife to the late Gordon Handley and Alan Shaw. Devoted mum to Beverley, Debbie and Mark. A dear mother in law to Terry and the late Roy. A loving and much loved nan to Michelle, Marc, James, Carl, Lee and Danielle and their partners. A great nan to 15 and great great nan to 2, dear sister, sister in law, aunt and friend to many who will be truly missed.

Funeral service to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Friday 1st May 2026 at 12.30pm. Would all relatives and friends please meet at the Crematorium. Floral tributes are acceptable, as are donations, if preferred to The Douglas Macmillan Hospice. Donations and Enquiries:

Aunty Maureen was the wife of my late uncle Alan, She was a real lady and always lovely to me and my wife Judith. She was very modern in her outlook and put her family and friends above all others.
Sadly, a generation of good folks is diminishing and we will miss her terribly.

Maureen was a fabulous friend/neighbour whose door was always open , ready to greet you with a lovely smile & heartwarming hug. I’m heartbroken that we can’t make any more precious memories together but I know I’ve got lots of treasured memories that I will keep in my heart forever 💕.. RIP My Angel Maureen , keep sending me those signs 😉 💕 x
