Bernard GeorgeSHAWIt's with sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard George Shaw.

Beloved husband to Geraldine, father to Jonathan, Stuart & Tracey; brother to Susan, and 'Poppa' to Chloe. Finally, Bernard is at rest after years of medical struggles. Bernard had many friends in the Neath area. Some he now joins and others we would love to see at his funeral/wake.

His funeral will take place on Monday, July 21st at Margam Crematorium 12.45pm. Followed by his wake which will be held at the Castle Hotel, Neath thereafter.

The family have asked for no flowers; there will be a link on the order of service for donations to the Alzheimers Association.

Frank and Dilly are so sad to hear of your loss. 'Bernie' was a long standing friend of Frank's from when they were in their 20s. They enjoyed man-to-man phone conversations and chuckles when the miles separated them and great fun and much laughter when we were all together. Bernie was such a kind man with a lovely sense of humour and Dilly especially appreciated his support and encouragement when she became step-mum to his nephews Robert and Philip. We had many laughs over the Spam cutting contest in Tenerife. He will never be forgotten.

So sad to hear Bernard has left us. Bernard was such a lovely and kind gentleman, friend and neighbour who will be sadly missed. Loved you Bernard. 🙏
