DavidSHAWMR David Shaw, of Dill Hall Lane, Church, died on Tuesday, June 22, aged 80, at Blackburn Royal Hospital. He was a carpet fitter. David moved to Australia in 1970 with his mum, brother, sister, and a friend, and whilst there he got a job at the local council keeping gardens, but he decided to move back home to Accrington a year later. Son of the late Walter and Doris Shaw, he was dearly loved brother of Bernard, Lawrence, Vincent (New Zealand), and the late Joseph and Brenda. He also leaves nieces and nephews Alison, Christian, Chris, Anthony, Carol, Martin, Vicki, Debbie, Darren, and Billy. The service and burial were held at Dill Hall Cemetery on Tuesday, July 6, led by Minister Philip Norris. Donations if desired to the British Heart Foundation. Funeral director: Hyndburn Funeral Services, Accrington.
