EricSHAWPeacefully surrounded by his daughters in a private nursing home on 9th April 2019, Eric aged 90 years of Accrington. The devoted husband of the late Beryl, much loved and loving dad of Yvonne, Lesley, Susan and Nichola, a dear father-in-law and a cherished grandad and great-grandad. Born in Bardsley, Oldham, Eric worked in a job that he loved on the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railways. Following his move to Accrington, he helped Beryl running the Bradshaw St West Off Licence and he started at G.E.C. in engineering and worked there until his retirement. A big lover of all racquet sports, Eric played in badminton and squash competitions. He was also a keen gardener and loved spending time in his garden as well as cruising worldwide with his wife Beryl. Eric was a true family man and and loving grandad. Eric's funeral service will take place at Accrington Crematorium on Friday 3rd May 2019 at 11am.
