PeterSHACKLETONPeter passed away peacefully on the August 24th in hospital aged 89 years. Dearly beloved husband of Joyce and much loved father of Ian, the late Neil and daughter in law Kath. Peter attended Accrington Grammar School and Liverpool College of Art where he developed his unique artistic style which lead to a long and successful career with exhibitions in London, Salford and recently in Lymm, Cheshire. He taught art throughout his career in Blackburn starting out at Bangor Street then at Pleckgate where he spent most of his teaching life until retirement. Peter and his wife Joyce loved to travel the world and have many happy memories of the places they have visited and their life together. Peter’s funeral will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Wednesday, September 7 at 11.40am. Family flowers only please, donations are being gratefully received in memory of Peter on behalf of the Salvation Army c/o champfunerals.Com/ obituaries.
