Frank Salt was my History teacher at Stanfield Tech from 1971. He was my favourite teacher and inspired a life long love of history. He was firm but fair and made every lesson enjoyable. I remember he brought in a Lee Enfield 303 rifle into class to show us and at a time when museum artifacts were always under glass this really made the connection to the past that made a lasting impression. He was an inspiring teacher. R.I.P Mr. Salt. Regards Sheila Bate

Frank Salt was my History teacher at Stanfield Tech (1968 -72) He use to sit on the front of his desk, with his long legs stretched on to the front desk of the front pupil's desk. I never got the chance to ask him why the syllabus was about the Repeal of the Corn Laws in 1846 (thanks Google) LOL. I passed 'O' Level History, so I must have listened. RIP 'Sifta' Salt. An incredible teacher, most fair headmaster, truly one of a kind. Sincere condolences to his family for both losses.
