ColinSAGAROn Tuesday, May 31, Colin, aged 89, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side. Loving husband of the late Jean Sagar, cherished dad to Beverley, Lesley, Colin, and Carl, grandad to Aaron, Emily, Thomas, Carla, Phillip, Carl, Courtney, and Paige, great-grandfather to Lara, Skye, Willow, Cleo, Bradley, Lily, Joshua, Maddie, Dexter, Nolan, Connie, Evie, and Mason. Colin was born and lived all his life in Huncoat, a village he loved dearly. Colin studied at Hyndburn Park School and Accrington Grammar School, then went on to complete an engineering apprenticeship at Lucas Aerospace, where he worked as an Engineer Supervisor until the end of his working life. Colin loved his holidays abroad, having visited various destinations. His favourite places were America and Malta. He made many good friends during these times. In his spare time he loved working on his cars, and completing numerous DIY jobs in the home. He also loved his garden, especially growing his begonias! In his earlier years, Colin was a singer who spent many years entertaining in Working Men’s Clubs throughout Lancashire. He had a vast repertoire, but particularly loved swing. Colin will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Colin’s funeral was due to be held at Accrington Crematorium on Thursday, June 16 at 11am, led by Neil Overton, followed by a get together at Grants, where all are welcome to celebrate his life.
