I met Jenny in my very first amateur acting role with the ICI Synthonia Players in their production of Virtue in Danger in April 1970. Although it was my very first on-stage acting experience I was unbelievably fortunate to be cast as a suitor to Jenny (as well as having an on-stage wife!!).
I, like many others, was swept away by her beauty, grace, personality, & on-stage presence. Jenny was extremely kind & supportive of this Sunderland-born boy’s acting debut, and I loved every minute of the time I shared with her. So much so that I continued to ‘tread the boards’ locally for the next 55Years!
Thank you Jenny - forever in my heart.

I met Jenny when I was 18. She swept like a glamorous whirlwind into my
life. The epitome of sophistication, she just blew me away. I wanted to be like her. She invited me to dinner parties and introduced me to a very different life. And for the rest of my days I rarely made a fashion decision without thinking about what Jenny would say. Heck, I even considered her while naming my children. We went through great times and tough times and great times again and we laughed so much. I can hear her laugh now. I’ll always hear it. Thank you Jenny for seeing something or other in this very unsophisticated Billingham girl and showing me a different life. She was a force of nature and meant so much to me.
