In Loving Memory of Our Nanny Rose
Our Nanny Rose was loving and kind,
A more special person you’d never find.
With laughter and warmth and a smile so bright,
She made every moment feel happy and light.
She made friends wherever she went,
And time with her was always time well spent.
Everyone loved her, and everyone knew,
There was nobody quite like our Nan through and through.
Her family was everything, her greatest delight,
Her children and grandchildren were always in sight.
She was the world’s best Nan, and a Great-Nan too,
So proud of us all and the things that we’d do.
She loved hearing about the things we would do,
Our travels and adventures, and stories brand new.
She’d tell everyone proudly, with a smile on her face,
About all her grandchildren, wherever the place.
She loved Cheshire Lyon’s, where she’d sit and enjoy,
With good food and a drink, and lots of joy.
Let’s not forget the crisps and her cup of tea,
And dipping them in was her speciality!
She loved doing the lottery, hoping to win,
And scratch cards were always worth having a spin.
She’d have a little flutter on the horses for fun,
Always hoping her lucky horse would be the one!
And then there was Daniel O’Donnell, her favourite by far,
She’d sing along happily, wherever you are.
But Penny Arcade was the song she adored,
She’d sing and she’d dance, and we’d all smile and applaud.
With a smile on her face and a song in her heart,
Those wonderful memories will never depart.
She’d dance and she’d sing, and we’d all laugh and smile,
Those precious little moments were so very worthwhile.
And although those memories may bring tears to our eyes,
They’re memories we’ll treasure for all of our lives.
You were our Nan, our Rosie, our family, our friend—
And we will love you always, right until our own end.
Forever our beloved Nan. We will miss you so much.
