Brian died at the Countess of Chester hospital following a short illness, he was under the care of the amazing staff on Bridge Ward 44.
Originally from Suffolk Brian and family moved to Upton over 50 years ago.
He was a Design Engineer at the Electricity Council Research Centre at Capenhurst until retirement.
Brian was involved with the United Reformed Chuch Upton youth group in the 70s and 80s introducing many young people to the Lake District mountains on the 'Easter trips'.
He was also a church 'Elder'.
He was a keen cyclist, adding electric assist to his Brompton to keep going into his 80s! An enthusiastic hill walker and rambler and Upton Amblers member, these were his ways to get out into nature for his bird watching and wildlife trips locally and around the UK.
A husband, father, father in law, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be fondly remembered by family and all who knew him.
Funeral Service to take place at Chester Crematorium on Wednesday 20th May 2026 at 1.20pm.
No flowers, thank you, but donations, if so desired will be gratefully received and forwarded to
The Hospice of the Good Shepherd, Backford, (where Brian's wife, Caryl worked voluntarily on Reception for 30 years), and can be made via the funeral director.
