Mr Geoffrey Roberts And Mrs SoniaROBERTSGS Dearly loves Parents & Grandparents Geoffrey & Sonia Roberts of Surrey Street, Accrington both peacefully passed away within days of each other during the last week of January 2021 with their loving Children by their sides. Geoffrey Roberts aged 74 years was born in Canada and moved to Accrington with his Mother & Sister during the 1950's. Geoffrey worked at Phillips Simonstone in the glass factory until retirement. Sonia Roberts (nee Miller) aged 77 years was born in Accrington & worked as a dress maker then a soft furnishings specialist at Hildens until retirement. Sonia & Geoff fell in love in the 1960's marrying in 1970 at St James's Church in Accrington where they continued being dedicated to Church life and Sunday worship. Sonia & Geoff loved the outdoor life, always happiest gardening, holidaying and rambling through the countryside, a love of which has been passed on to their Children & Grandchildren. Sonia & Geoff, Mum & Dad, Nana & Grandpa will be forever remembered with love & affection in the thoughts and hearts of their loving Children Daughter Deborah & partner Malcolm and Son Paul & partner Liz and all their loving Grandchildren Hannah, Luke, Samara, Mark and Chardonnay. May the Lord bless & keep them eternal. Deborah & Paul wish to thank all for their heart felt words of sympathy. Due to current restrictions a private grave side service and burial will be held on Friday 26th February 2021, at 11.30am at Accrington Cemetery led by Paul McNally. A memorial service at St James's Church for Sonia & Geoff will be held at a later date when safe for all to attend. Family flowers only please, although donations in memory of Sonia & Geoff are being gratefully received for St James's Church, Cannon Street in Accrington.
