BrianRIGBY(1936-2026) Brian Rigby, aged 89, peacefully passed away in Peebles, Scotland, on 7 May 2026, following a five-year battle with vascular dementia. Formerly of Fairoak Avenue Stafford, Brian leaves behind, his loving partner Penny Wood, and all of her family who cared deeply for him, and also his grandson Daniel Rigby and siblings Roy, and Joan. Brian now joins his late, very loving sister, Barbara. Born in 1936 in St Helens, near Liverpool, Brian was the eldest of four children. In his younger years, Brian spent time living in Australia before eventually settling in Stafford with his family. Later in life, he enjoyed travelling back and forth between England and Canada with his partner, Penny, creating many happy memories together. Brian worked for many years as a welder and engineer before finishing his career at BT. Brian could turn his hand to almost anything and was an avid gardener. Brian enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered for his warmth, infectious smile, wonderful sense of humour, and the love and laughter he brought to those around him. A celebration of Brian's life is to be held at the Staffordshire Bull - details to be announced at a later date.

What a lovely picture of Brian which encaptures our memories of him. Always a twinkle in his eye with an endearing smile. A chance encounter in Scarborough opened a new chapter for Brian and Pen and gave them lots of happiness.
