Marlene IrisREDFEARNof Dill Hall Lane passed away on November 29, aged 84 years. Marlene started her working life in an office doing administration work for a short time before moving to begin a new career as a night care assistant at Calderstones Hospital, where she remained for over 25 years. Marlene was a member of the Women’s Institute and was very fond of her dogs. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed watching dramas on TV, one of her favourites being Heartbeat. Marlene really enjoyed gardening but most of all she loved being in the company of her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marlene was the wife of the late Ronald Redfearn, she leaves behind her children Wayne, Russell, Steven and Lisa. Mother-in-law to Susan, John and Michelle and grandma to Rachel, Thomas, Lucy, Jade, Daniel, Nathan and Jessica. She was also a much loved great grandma and good friend to all who knew her. Her funeral will take place on Tuesday, December 13 at Accrington Crematorium at 2.20pm, conducted by Neil Overton. Flowers welcome and donations to Multiple Sclerosis Society c/o Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington.
