Alan & BettyRAYNERRAYNER ALAN & BETTY Alan aged 91 (born in Stockport on 10 March 1930), passed away on 14 October 2021 in Leicester Royal Infirmary after a 2-month stay in hospital following a fall at home in August 2021. Further tests in hospital revealed that he had developed metastatic prostate cancer to which he eventually succumbed. Sadly, Alan's wife, Betty, aged 89 (born in Manchester on 14 April 1932), also passed away on 27 October 2021, also in Leicester Royal Infirmary, from advanced vascular dementia. Alan & Betty are survived by their two sons, Martin & Philip, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Alan and Betty will be sorely missed by all who knew them for their humour, passion for life and dedication to helping others. A joint funeral service will be held at South Leicestershire Crematorium at 1:00pm on Monday, 15 November 2021 followed by a joint graveside ceremony at Wigston Cemetery. A Wake will then be held at the Horse & Trumpet pub in Wigston to celebrate their lives.

Alan and Betty are my biological grandparents who sadly, I only met once in my 26 years of life. Hearing of the news broke a piece of my heart I never knew existed. God rest you both. All my love, charley xxx
