DorenePEELMrs Dorene Peel, of Accrington and late of Henley House, died on Monday, December 27, aged 89. Dorene worked at Lupton Bros, Hitchens, St Christopher’s School, retiring from Accrington Catering College. She loved flower arranging and family history. She was a member of St Andrew’s, Accrington congregation and a much valued member of their Mother’s Union which she was very proud of. She enjoyed holidays and travel, especially family reunions in the States and Canada. Dearly beloved wife of the late Geoffrey, and much loved mum of David, Janet, Lesley, Susan and Kirsty, precious grandma, great-grandma, mum-in-law, sister-in-law, cousin and auntie. Her funeral was due to take place on Thursday, January 13 at St Andrew’s Church, Swiss Street, Accrington at 11.30am, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium. Father David Arnold will preside. Family flowers only, with donations to East Lancs Hospice and North West Air Ambulance Charity c/o Hyndburn Funeral Services, Queens Road, Accrington.
