NormanPEAKE1937-2008 HUSBAND You were my life, my one true love, my all. There were so many things I wanted to say to you but all I could do was hold your hand, stroke your hair, kiss your face and whisper words of love. Wonderful memories, yes I have but I didn't want memories, my darling, I just wanted you. Your everloving Wife, Beryl DAD AND GRANDAD You were the best Dad anyone could have had. You gave us encouragement, guidance and words of wisdom when we needed them and more love than anyone could wish for and it knew no bounds. You will live on in our hearts forever and be remembered always for the great Dad and fabulous Grandad you were. We miss you so much, it shouldn't have been your time to go but we know you will be happy wherever you are and that you will be keeping a watchful eye over us. All our love always and forever, Alison, Andrew, Samantha and Finlay Norman DAD Not how did he die, but how did he liveX Not what he did gain, but what did he giveX These are the units to measure the worth of a man as a man, regardless of birth. Not what was his church, nor what was his creedX But had he befriended those really in needX Was he ever ready with a word of good cheer, to bring back a smile, to banish a tearX Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say, but how many were sorry when he passed away. Forever in our hearts Dad. David and Karen. Watching over us always Grandad. Katy, Amy, Hannah and Joe. The family would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the staff on Ward 4 at Walsall Manor Hospital. Their care, kindness and compassion shown towards all of our family during Norman's short illness will never be forgotten. Special thanks to Judith O'Carrol and her team of Macmillan Nurses and the Social Services carers who visited Norman at home. Thank you to Father Coyne for the service he conducted. Thanks also to family members and friends for their continued support, floral tributes and donations which will be forwarded onto the Walsall branch of the Macmillan Trust.
