Happy memories of Uncle David & Our Dad playing jazz downstairs while we were up in bed as young children. Dad on piano & Uncle David on the tea chest as he couldn’t afford a Double Bass. I can’t listen to. Goon Show without picturing the pair of them laughing & the lines that became part of the family language.😁 Uncle David was such a big personality, it’s hard to believe he’s no longer with us. End of a generation in our family! … there’s no one else that quite has Uncle David’s quick wit and knowledge of music!!! 🥰
