Dennis ArthurPEACEIt is with great sadness we announce that Dennis passed away peacefully at UHW on 22nd August 2025, aged 94 years. Beloved long term partner of the late Avril Wilcox, much loved father to Mike, Karen, step father to Julie, a respected father in law and cherished grampy to Emma, Samantha, Susan, Great grampy to Alicia, Evan, Theo, Cayne, Holly, Jack, Sophia and great great grampy to Hugo and Cruz. Dennis will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Forever in our hearts and thoughts.

In accordance with Dennis's wishes the cremation will be private.

Grampy you will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget our days out together to Roath park and falling asleep on your sofa. I’m so glad you were a part of my little boys lives, they adored you. I will always make sure they will never forget about you. You were a special man to many of us and I miss you more than you’ll ever know. Love you lots xxx

I can’t explain how much I miss you, you have left a huge void in my life. I miss our daily calls, our Saturday lunches together and hearing you tell the boys off for lying on me/cuddling me too much. I miss your smile, I wish I could hug you just one more time, I don’t think you ever realised how much I needed you. You’ve left always thanked me for showing up and caring about you but I did it because I needed you. I wasn’t ready for you to leave and I’m still not. You weren’t just my Grampy you were my dad too, you stepped up and looked after me and my babies. You were the best Grampy to my children and grand children to the point they’d tell me that you are there’s not mine lol. We all miss you so much you’ve left the biggest void in our lives. I love you so much Emma xxx

You were more than a stepfather Den. You were my dad. You gave a father's love and support over the last 50 years.
