Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 19th of October, aged 70 years, Christopher (Chris).

Devoted husband of Carolyn, much loved Dad of Lisa, Scott, Phil, Matthew, Michael. A dear father in law and a loving grandad.

Chris will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends.

Would friends please meet for service on Friday 8th November in St John's Church, Birtley at 11.15 am followed by cremation in Birtley Crematorium at 12 noon.

Family flowers only by request donations to St Benedict's Hospice. A donation box will be provided at the Church and Crematorium.

Dear Chris,
You were the best ever brother-in-law to me. I'll always recall the day you told me to call you 'brother' instead of brother-in-law and I felt so touched and honoured as you couldn't have been a more caring brother in every sense - supportive, dependable, strong, courageous and above all, loving. Thank you for being in my life for more than 40 years. May your spirit soar!

Chris, thank you for being such a wonderful husband to my sister, Carolyn, and an amazing dad and grandad too. I will cherish all of the joyful memories of family times we shared and especially your final trip to the North of Scotland in August this year.
