BernardO'SHEAOn Sunday 7th May 2023, peacefully, in Royal Blackburn Hospital, with his daughters by his side, Bernard, aged 86 years. Lifelong dear friend of Betty, much loved dad of Margaret, Elizabeth and the late John, treasured grandad and great grandad to many, especially William, Charlotte and their 3 girls, a dear friend to Jeff and a much missed next door neighbour of Carol. Bernard grew up in Accrington before completing his National Service. He later moved to Scotland where he worked as a bus driver and met his future wife, Betty, at a tea dance. Bernard loved going on holiday with his good friends, Derek and Edna, and socialising in his local Working Men's Club. He also loved gardening. Bernard's family would like to thank the staff of Royal Blackburn Hospital and Mapleford Nursing Home for their care and attention and Waring McKenna Funeralcare for their dignified arrangements. Bernard's funeral will take place on Monday 5th June at Accrington Crematorium at 9.40 am. Family flowers only please. All enquiries to Waring McKenna Funeralcare, 45 Grimshaw Park, Blackburn, BB2 3AG. Tel. 01254 51577.

Condolences to Margaret Elizabeth and the family of Bernard. I was a neighbour of Bernard and often had a cup of tea with him and a chat before I left England.
