Donald StottNUTTALLPassed away peacefully in Fairfield General Hospital on the 5th November 2021, Donald aged 93 Years. Loving and devoted Husband of the late Jessie. Loving Father of Lynne and John, Father in Law of Alan and Virginia. A loving Grandpa and Great Grandpa. Donald will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Private Family Committal to take place at Rochdale Crematorium on Monday 6th December 2021, followed by a Service to Celebrate Donald's life at Hallfold URC Whitworth at 12.45pm. Family flowers please by request, donations if desired would be gratefully received to a charity close to Donald's heart, Shelter. A donation box will be available on the day in church. One of the nicest kindest gentlemen I ever met. Made me feel so welcome at Hallfold Reformed Church, that I truly felt part of one large family. Donald will be truly missed, but never forgotten.

I have never known a better person than Donald. When I was a child he was our local chemist on Whitworth Road in Rochdale. He allowed me to visit frequently and discussed chemistry subjects with me. Effectively he was my first chemistry teacher and my mentor, he guided me and as a result I enjoyed a successful career in chemistry. I last saw Donald in 2016 when I visited Rochdale from USA. Donald was a devout Christian who lived his life as we are taught by the Bible. One of my life's greatest pleasures has been to know this great man.
