John HenryMOODIEThe family of the late John Henry Moodie, of Tynemouth and formerly Fenham, wish to acknowledge with deepest gratitude, the many gestures of kindness shown following our sad loss, in particular from family, friends and neighbours. We were overwhelmed by the large number of people who attended the service, family and friends from all aspects of John's life. For those who travelled long distances, expressed messages of condolence, and who made charitable donations, we are truly grateful. It was gratifying to see so many Blue Star lapel pins on display from his friends at Scottish & Newcastle Breweries. It was testament to all aspects of John's life. Our appreciation to the pallbearers and those who gave readings at the service, readings that John would have loved. Our thanks to Reverend Canon Glyn Evans, Christ Church, North Shields and the Co-op Funeralcare team for their sensitive handling of arrangements. Many of you have asked for copies of the photos displayed after the service. Please contact the family and we will happily forward on. A final word of thanks to Dr. David Colvin at Whitley Bay Health Centre, the Critical Care team at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary, the Critical Care team & Stroke Ward at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital and the Stroke Unit team at North Tyneside General Hospital. Our especial thanks to everyone at Willow Lodge Care Home, not just for your care of John but also for the care you took of us all. A life well lived.
