Ronald GordonMELLORMELLOR - RONALD GORDON, June 30, 2017. Aged 89 years. Passed away peacefully in hospital. Reunited with his beloved wife Olwen, proud and loving father to Susan, Ronnie, Angela, Ian and Olwen, dear father-in-law to Mick, Debbie, Ian, Sue and John, devoted grandad to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. (Dad 'big Ron', brave and dignified, a man who worked hard, never bemoaning life. Always accepting how things were and enjoying the moment. You taught us a lot about what matters and how to be happy. We will miss and love you always). Special thanks to Aintree Hospital and the ambulance staff for all their assistance and care, also a big thanks to all his friends at James Horrigan Court for making dad welcome in to "the Foyer Crew" with copious amounts of tea and brandy. Service at St. Philips Church, Litherland on Friday 28th July at 12 noon, followed by interment at Bootle Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Stroke Association at www.stroke.org.uk. Ron also requested those attending the funeral, could they wear a token piece of red upon them.
