Dear Christine, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Daniel,

I am so sorry for your loss. Leslie was an amazing colleague and a huge figure in Arabic Studies. His work in the field has been inspirational. He will be deeply missed. I will always remember his kindness, his sense of humour and the stories he used to tell. May he rest in peace.
